AI copywriting for Shopify
Stop Writing Product Descriptions by Hand
Instead, let a copywriting bot trained on your store and brand voice create optimized first drafts. Plus get me using it to ship your updated collection copy, product copy, and SEO titles.
You’re staring at hundreds of products and dozens of collections that all need SEO-optimized copy. Writing every description by hand would burn months of staff time you don’t have, and your deadline isn’t going to wait.
When we work together, you see sample content for review by week 2. And all content and your copywriting bot are delivered and implemented by the end of week 4.
The content creation problem
Your catalog is bigger than your bandwidth
“With over 500 SKUs to rewrite copy without it all sounding the same, the actual work would be mind numbing.” — Shopify accessories brand
That’s a challenge I hear from every Shopify store I work with. Different scales, different categories, same shape:
- You have a few hundred products. Each one needs a description and SEO title that informs, entertains, sells, and helps you rank for the right product keyword
- You have a few dozen (or more) collections. Each one needs an SEO title, on-page collection description, internal links, and FAQ content to help rank for the right categorical keyword
And that content has to come from somebody. Usually it’s your most overloaded person: the founder, maybe the marketing manager. They block out time to think and write, then an emergency pulls them away. The deadline slips. Another priority pops up. Your products and collections still have underwhelming copy.
Content creation on your products and collections is the bottleneck to growth on most of the Shopify stores I work with. Optimizing your product and collection content creation motion is one of your biggest opportunities to rank higher and bring more traffic.
And generic AI tools won’t save you. Raw ChatGPT? Jasper? The built-in Shopify Magic? None of them know what your brand sounds like or what a prompt like this actually means:

What good looks like
Picture your collection pages working for you
The pages that used to sit half-empty start to pull their weight in organic traffic and revenue. Your store ranks for more of the commercial, transactional, and category searches you’ve been losing to bigger retailers.
- Every collection page is optimized for the keywords your customers actually search for, backed by first-hand quantitative search data
- Every SEO title and meta description in the search results highlights your differentiators and gives your shoppers a reason to click
- Every product description sounds like your brand and shares relevant, optimized information
You didn’t spend dozens (or hundreds) of staff hours writing those on-voice pieces by hand. The work happens. The first draft of the content is produced, reviewed and edited, and then ships live on your store. Your team stays focused on launches, products, and customer experience.
What you get
You get three things: bot, implementation, and strategy
1. A custom copywriting bot, trained on your store
I build your bot inside a Claude Project on your team’s Claude Pro account ($20/month, you own it ongoing). Customized to your store’s priority categories with brand voice rules, prompt templates, and guardrails:
- Written brand voice rules
- Custom instructions and reference files
- Example outputs that anchor the bot to your voice
- Category-specific guardrails for your priority categories
- A post-generation review pass that flags or regenerates output that trips a guardrail
- Templates for product descriptions, collection content, and SEO titles + meta descriptions
Plus training videos so your team can use the bot themselves to generate first-draft SEO optimized product and collection content.
You own the bot ongoing.
2. Me, using the bot to ship your content
The bot is the tool to create your brand-voice content. Work still needs to be done to generate the content, edit and refine it, and ship it to your store. I handle that for you. I use the copywriting bot to create optimized content for your collection pages and priority product pages. Then, after a round of review, I implement the final content directly in Shopify, so your team doesn’t have yet another task on their plate.
- For your priority existing products, I’m adding optimized descriptions, SEO titles, meta descriptions, and internal links pointing to the products
- For your existing collections, I’m adding optimized collection descriptions, SEO titles, headlines, meta descriptions, and internal links pointing to collections and products
I create and refine the initial collection output, then share a document with the proposed content for your review. Each piece of content comes with the why behind it: the keyword volume, intent, priority, competition, and existing ranking signals that pointed to this keyword for this collection page. You do a round of edits or notes (in the doc, by email, by voice note, whatever’s easiest). Then I incorporate the feedback into the bot, refine the final content, and publish it on your store.
3. A strategy backbone for what to optimize first
You don’t need new content on every page. You need copy on the pages that can generate traffic and revenue. I take into account the important metrics for your store so we’re working smarter, not harder: search volume, keyword intent, and priority levels for every collection and product in scope, so the pages that matter most get the attention.
Real results
How it’s worked for Maptote
Maptote sells personalized tote bags across hundreds of city-themed collections. They shipped every product and collection page rewrite with the original version of this copywriting bot.
“Being able to block out a time where I could just hang out with the copywriting bot and get something so important done is a really good feeling. It really felt like, oh, we did this, we got it done and it was pretty easy to do overall.” — Amanda Maldonado, Maptote
“This smart bot easily creates that content for us, instead of us spending the time actually writing it.” — Michael Berick, Maptote
For Maptote, this approach contributed to doubling their organic traffic (clicks, impressions, and sessions) across 200+ products and collections.
Process
How this service works, week by week
Week 1: Kickoff and setup
On the kickoff call, I walk you through a brand-and-voice alignment questionnaire to gather what I need. We’ll discuss your brand voice, top collections, product lines, customer questions, and any compliance areas to be aware of. Then I get to work building your copywriting bot.
Week 2: Bot v1 and initial content review
Once the bot is ready as v1, I run it on 5 of your collections. I’ll see the output with you for review. You share notes and edits and tell me whether the voice fits. I incorporate your feedback into v2.
Week 3: Bot v2 and the production sprint
Once your feedback is incorporated, I run the bot at scale across the rest of your collections and priority products. I generate the content for our optimization sprint and share it with you for final edits.
Week 4: Finalize, load, handoff
I polish the remaining output and publish all approved content directly into Shopify for your collections and products: SEO titles, headlines, product descriptions, collection descriptions with internal links, FAQ content on select pages. The works. Then, I hand the bot off to your team with training videos so they can get started using it on the rest of your catalog.
Why me
This needs an architect, not a copy-paster
Building and personalizing a copywriting bot takes an architect to put together the pieces, and a consultant to understand your business and what details matter.
A bridge between SEO and AI
Most AI consultants don’t know Shopify SEO. Most Shopify SEO consultants don’t know how to engineer a custom AI copywriting bot for a brand’s voice. I do both.
The bot you get isn’t a ChatGPT wrapper. It’s a highly customized Claude project built on two years of AI research and ten+ years of Shopify SEO. It has your brand voice, priority categories, guardrails, and prompt templates optimized for SEO in your niche. It sounds like you and your store’s voice, not ChatGPT.
I’ve been building these bots since 2024
I started building custom copywriting bots for Shopify clients in 2024 and have advised on strategy or shipped them to ~12 stores: Maptote, Homefolk, Moona Fabrics, French Toast. Plus I’ve advised Kiddie Country, Holben’s Fine Watch Bands, Chez Pluie, Blue Marine, and Loop Yarn.
I ship your content updates myself
You don’t get a stack of recommendations, a todo list, and a “good luck” pat on the back before building this yourself.
You get the high-impact content updated and live in Shopify. You get an optimized copywriting bot delivered and ready-to-use in your team’s hands.
Investment

- Custom copywriting bot in a Claude Project, trained on your store, voice, and priority categories. You own it ongoing.
- Collection SEO implementation: I use the bot to optimize your existing collections, with content published directly into Shopify.
- Strategy backbone: search volume, keyword intent, and priority data for every page in scope.
- One round of revisions on all content.
- Training videos so your team can keep using the bot after I’m done.
- 4 weeks from kickoff to final delivery. Sample content for your review by week 2.
Common questions
Frequently asked
Will you implement the collection content in Shopify, or hand it off as a spreadsheet?
I implement the content directly in your Shopify. That’s the smoothest flow and doesn’t add another task to your team’s plate. Once the content is reviewed and approved, I publish it, including: SEO titles, headlines, collection descriptions with internal links, and FAQ content on select pages.
Will I see search volume, keyword intent, and priority data?
Yes. I incorporate search volume, keyword intent, and priority data for every collection, so you know which pages matter most for optimization.
How is the bot customized to my brand, products, and categories?
The bot is customized to your priority categories with brand voice rules, prompt templates, and category-specific guardrails. I’ll nail down what category-specific means for your store on the kickoff call. Regulated categories (e.g., herbal, beauty, supplements, lactation) get disease-claim language, sourcing accuracy, and any necessary disclaimers. Unregulated categories get on-voice, on-positioning, and no generic AI tells.
Is there a revision round after I review the initial collection content?
Yes. One round. You see all the proposed content for your store’s collections and products. You mark up edits or share notes in the doc, by email, by voice note, whatever’s easiest. I incorporate your feedback into the bot + content drafts and publish the final content on your store.
