An Independent SEO Audit. No sales pitch.
Is your agency growing your store (or just sending you reports)?
I read your real store SEO data and give you a straight verdict: keep them, renegotiate, or fire them.
Your report is delivered within 5 business days with a video summary. You’ll get on one short onboarding call with me to start, and there is no sales pitch at the end.
This service is run by me, Kai Davis. I’m a Shopify SEO consultant with 15+ years of experience helping Shopify stores grow with SEO, and I’ve worked with over 100 Shopify stores.
The problem
SEO is the easiest place for an agency to “look busy”
You hired that agency to work on your SEO so you wouldn’t have to live inside Search Console and Google Analytics or think about “Search Intent” and “Keyword Rankings”. Your agency handles questions like “how do we get more customers finding this store through search?” or “what keywords are relevant to this business and their customers?”.
Working with an agency is very often the right call when it comes to SEO for growing Shopify stores. The catch? Oftentimes the only way to assess if your particular agency and your investment into SEO is working or not is that monthly retainer report you get from the very same agency you hired.
And traffic is not the same as revenue. An agency can get you tens of thousands of visitors on blog posts that never sell while your best-selling product and collection pages stay invisible. An agency’s rankings report that’s full of easy, low-intent keywords can hide poor performance for months and still read like things are growing while your card continues being charged.
This isn’t fraud, it’s an information gap. You don’t know how to understand if your SEO is working or not and that happens to favor the people you’re paying. This SEO Agency Audit closes the gap. I’m not pitching you on anything, I’m not sending you a slide deck showing the growth I can help you achieve. You get a conversation with me and then an actionable report + video summary giving you my verdict on your SEO, your agency, and why. Nothing more.
This SEO Agency Audit costs $950, payable upfront. You can purchase it right now, read on, or reach out with more questions.
Who does this audit, anyways?
An SEO professional and marketer who reads your account and data himself
My name is Kai Davis and I’ve spent 15+ years helping Shopify stores rank with SEO, both on the technical side and the content side. I’ve helped sites recover from algorithmic hits, untangled crawl and indexing messes, and built content that ranked and doubled traffic for 7-figure Shopify stores.
Your report is informational and actionable.
Most specifically, your report is not a pitch deck, and I’m not trying to win your account. I want you to be equipped with a professional opinion so you can make an informed decision on your agency and their SEO, like hiring an inspector when you’re purchasing a house.
Why work with me?
- I work in Shopify SEO every day
- I’m an independent professional, not your agency
- I can open your store and immediately see what’s real, what’s working, and what’s vanity traffic
Most ‘SEO audits’ skim your homepage (or ask Claude/ChatGPT) and read your own Google Analytics dashboard back to you. Mine goes much deeper. I pull:
- Your full Search Console history (every query and page Google has for you)
- Your Google Analytics revenue by channel
- Your entire Shopify catalog
- A fresh crawl of your store
- Your structured-data setup
And then I cross-reference all of them to answer one targeted question: “how is your SEO doing?”. That’s how I can tell traffic that sells from traffic that just looks good in a pretty PDF report.

What I look at (and why)
This report looks at three things to get a read on how your SEO is performing
1. Technical, Crawl, and AI-readiness
Can Google find, crawl, and trust your store, and is your store built to show up as search shifts to AI? If not, nothing else you do to rank matters. This looks at your indexing coverage, site speed, robots.txt, llm.txt, page structure and architecture, crawl issues, and your structured data, the schema that increasingly decides whether you surface in rich results and AI Overviews.
2. Content, Keywords, and Rankings
Are your pages ranking for relevant keywords that bring buyers to you, or only high-traffic/low-impact ones that were easy? This looks at money-pages (where do you actually earn revenue?), search coverage, search intent, keyword gaps, page + keyword cannibalization, and more.
3. Agency accountability
Is their work moving the needle on your SEO (visibility, rankings, traffic, clicks, and/or revenue?) or just filling a report? This looks at: vanity traffic, revenue keywords, content quality, content creation + pages launched over time. This measures the work your agency is doing and has done against what you pay, looking from when the agency started working with you to now.
The verdict
Get the key answer: keep your agency, renegotiate the scope, or fire them
The report centers around answering one question: how is your SEO agency doing and should you keep working with them?
- 🟢 Keep: They’re doing strong work at a fair price. I show you exactly where they’re making an impact, so when someone asks “hey, how’s your SEO agency doing?” you can back them with detailed confidence on what they’re doing right. Yes, that’s a real outcome: sometimes your agency is good, and you deserve to know it for certain.
- 🟡 Renegotiate: Your agency is good at some parts, but looks weak in others. I tell you the exact areas where your SEO is under-performing and you get concrete recommendations to fix the scope and (maybe) the price.
- 🔴 Fire: Your business would benefit from redirecting your expense with that agency towards another growth opportunity. You get clear evidence from me about where things are under-performing against expectations and what to do next, including what to hire for and what to look for.

Your deliverable
Understand exactly what you’re buying
Your report is built from your real store and performance data. It answers the questions your monthly retainer report might not:
- What organic search is really worth to you. Your true organic revenue, conversion rate, and average order value over the last 12 months/since you started working with your agency. I also break out organic’s real share of your total store revenue.
- Whether you’re growing or quietly sliding. I track your organic clicks, impressions, and revenue month over month across your store as a whole, by page-type, and by individual pages, so a flat or declining trend across your most valuable pages can’t hide.
- Who’s actually finding you. Your branded vs non-branded split. If most of your traffic is people already searching your name, your agency isn’t winning new customers, it’s coasting on your brand.
- Where you actually earn. Your collections and products ranked by real organic revenue, so you can see whether your agency works on the pages that make money or the ones that were easy.
- How much of your ranking is stuck on page two. Your position distribution: the share of your keywords that are visible but never getting clicked.
- The demand you already have and your agency isn’t yet capturing. The high-impression keywords sitting one position off page one, real searches where the visibility is already there and the clicks aren’t.
- Whether your store is ready for AI search. Google’s AI Overviews and tools like ChatGPT are changing how customers find stores. I flag where you stand on the fundamentals that feed them. Is your content built to be cited? Are you earning links and citations on relevant platforms? Is your agency adapting or still optimizing like it’s 2018?
- It all rolls into one recommendation: keep, renegotiate, or fire, with the evidence and reasoning behind it.
All numbers shown in your report run on your store’s real Search Console, Analytics, catalog, and crawl data.
The promise
I will not pitch you on working with me
You’re buying a detailed SEO audit and a specific recommendation, not a sales call. No retainer offer, no upsell, no proposal meeting to schedule. You get a report that tells you the truth, not a slide-deck built to make everything look broken, and a video that walks through my recommendation. Then we’re done.
If you ask me who to talk to next, I’ll point you somewhere backed by my honest experience. That’s the only next step, and only if you ask for it.

“You didn’t make big revenue promises. You offered a measured and tempered realistic opportunity.”— Kathleen Tandy - Owner, Pink Moon Goods

- You’ll get your answer. Within 5 business days, you’ll receive my written report plus a video summary, with a plain recommendation you can review yourself or forward to your CEO, CMO, or Director of Marketing and have it land well.
Pricing
Pay one fixed, flat price
You’re already paying a retainer every month for work you can’t see. This SEO Agency Audit costs $950, once. It tells you whether your investment in that retainer is earning its keep.
Most stores pay an SEO agency somewhere between $1,500 and $5,000 a month. That’s $18,000 to $60,000 a year, usually with no independent advisor checking on whether it’s actually working.
Your $950 buys the written report and video summary, a short onboarding call, and a plain keep, renegotiate, or fire verdict with the evidence and the biggest missed opportunities behind it. It’s delivered 5 business days from when you share access to your data.
What this is not: my Website X-Ray technical SEO audit, a complete keyword opportunity map, or a backlink gap analysis. Those are part of my SEO Opportunity Report. This SEO Agency Audit tells you whether your agency is working; the report tells you everything to do to grow.
Guarantee
My money-back guarantee
You’re covered by my money-back guarantee. If I dig into your store and can’t find any opportunities worth acting on and no problems worth flagging, I’ll refund your payment in full. I’ve never opened a store and come up empty, but if yours is the first, this audit is on me.
FAQ
Questions about the SEO Agency Audit
What access do you need for this?
I need read-only Search Console and Google Analytics access, an invite to your store to review your reports and data, and the last 2-3 agency reports. I’ll send you a list of what I need after you purchase, and we’ll confirm I have everything on our short onboarding call. I never make edits or changes to your site as part of this service.
What if my agency is actually doing fine?
Then you get confirmation they’re doing well for a small investment, plus a few opportunities to share with them to push them further. Knowing that your investment in SEO is well managed is worth $950 on its own.
Will you try to sell me your services?
No. I don’t offer you a retainer at the end. This isn’t an introduction to funnel you to my services. The whole point of this product is to give you actionable information on your agency’s performance. If you ask who else to talk to, I’ll refer you to someone I’ve dealt with before.
How fast is the turnaround, really?
Five business days from the moment I have access to your store’s data. If something will take longer, I tell you up front.
Who sees my data?
Only me. It’s read-only, and I delete access the moment your report is delivered. I never share your data with any agency or anyone else.
Will my agency find out I did this?
No. I never contact your agency. Everything runs through the read-only access you give me, and I delete that access the moment your report is delivered. Your agency doesn’t know unless you decide to tell them.
Do you review channels other than SEO?
No, the only one I look at is your SEO and content. If you need another channel audited, let me know, and I’ll point you to the right person for the rest.
Is this the same as your $4,000 Opportunity Report?
No. This audit gives you a verdict on your agency from a read of your data and a conversation. My SEO Opportunity Report is my full analysis of your store and a plan to grow. This audit tells you whether your agency is working or not. The report tells you everything to do to grow your SEO.
